Join us for the 8th International Coaching Conference 2026 (#CRiC2026) at the University of Stirling from Monday 8th \u2013 Friday 12th June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conference Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This conference invites us to (re)think sport coaching as being shaped by the connections between people, place, history, and a series of (un)seen forces. Coaching\u2014and our knowledge of it\u2014is never simply the transmission of knowledge or ideas. Rather, it is developed through our relationships, shared experiences, and the environments in which we live, train, and work.

Throughout the conference, we will explore questions such as:
1. Whose stories are these anyway?
2. Whose voices are heard and valued, and whose are overshadowed or overlooked?
3. How do our landscapes\u2014social, cultural, technological, and ecological\u2014shape the ways in which coaching is understood and practiced?

Drawing inspiration from Stirling\u2019s unique setting and history, we will consider coaching as something that resonates across time and place, shaped by communities, traditions, and the ethical responsibilities of telling, listening to, and reshaping the stories that define our field.
The CRiC Conference welcomes researchers, practicing coaches, coach educators, policy makers, and innovators interested in exploring the complexities of sport coaching and the stories that shape its understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pre-Conference Workshops<\/strong>
Monday 8 June, 13:30-17:00 & Tuesday 9 June, 09:00-13:00, including lunch on 9 June<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the main conference begins, we invite practitioners and scholars (inc ECR and PG students) to participate in a series of dynamic, interactive workshops exploring key themes in sport coaching and athlete development.
Led by internationally recognized experts and experienced coaches, these sessions are designed to bridge research and practice, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Through shared insights and innovative strategies, the workshops aim to enhance coaching effectiveness and advance the field of athlete development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
